#23: Thumbs

After asking for the class’ attention, “Language 9, thumbs, please,” all students, with the exception of one, gave the attentive thumbs up signal, some with thumbs sideways or down depending on their mood at that moment. One student sorrowfully moaned, “Thumbs can’t begin to describe how I feel!” I lost it, laughing, and had to call for ‘thumbs’ again two minutes later before continuing with directions.
