Cat Creek Trail

Cat Creek Trail was the entertainment of the day on the second Saturday home following the end of school. The initial hike was only about 20 minutes to a quaint little waterfall.


We extended the hike twice. The first, Dad and I scrambled up a slope to see what was at the top of the falls (which happened to be two more unreachable falls from that position).


The second, Mom made the nearly vertical climb up a "chimney" with us, as recommended by a gentleman on the trail, that ended shortly as the upper trail (above the first falls) was completely submerged in the higher-than-usual waters of the stream.
